The popular hiking trail leads from Weesen to Quinten along the right bank of Lake Walensee, which might remind you of the Cinque Terre in Italy. Thanks to its Mediterranean views and the picturesque village of Quinten, the hike is also known as the Riviera of Eastern Switzerland.
Beautiful Hike with Breathtaking Views
From the Mediterranean climate to interesting routes and impressive waterfalls, this 3.5-hour hike offers a little bit of everything. Starting as a rather leisurely walk, once in the forst, the route gradually turns into a moderately difficult hike. With the beautiful Lake Walensee at your side, the varied ascents and descents become a unique hiking experience.
Gigantic Waterfalls and Relaxation in Quinten
A detour to the viewing platform offers you a great view of the gigantic Seerenbach Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Switzerland. This offers motivation for the final ascent before the hike ends with a long, relaxing descent to the picturesque village of Quinten. The south-facing location beneath the steep walls gives the car-free wine village a mild climate even in winter. The result is a pure vacation feeling! Two ferry connections lead either back to Weesen or to the other side of the lake.
