Betlis is situated on the southern slope of the Amden cliffs. Thanks to this unique climatic location, grapes, figs and even palm trees succeed to grow here. The small village belongs to the municipality of Amden.

Once you arrive in Betlis, there is plenty to see. The impressive Seerenbach Falls with the neighbouring Rin Spring (Rinquelle) are definitely worth a detour. Don't miss out on a visit to the ancient Roman ruins of Strahlegg. It dates back to the 1st century BC and once served as a military watchtower. The small, pretty chapel is picturesquely situated and offers a place of silence and contemplation.
