Ski Area Arvenbüel
Ideal for beginners and connoisseurs! In the Arvenbüel ski area, families with small children appreciate the mostly flat slopes and the kids area. The snow park on the Leistkamm promises thrills.
Im Skigebiet
Just ten minutes from Amden, beginners can enjoy carefree hours in the snow in the Arvenbüel ski area: The Arven chairlift leads directly to the Monte Mio restaurant, from where parents can keep an eye on their kids. Whether they are skiing or tobogganing, the official toboggan run is right next to the ski slope. Once you've reached the bottom, the chairlift will take you back up. The Sell slope is connected to the Arven piste. Here, the Tschesa Plana restaurant offers cosiness and a great view for the well-being of winter sports enthusiasts.
Blue slopes and snow park at Leistkamm
The little ones love the pony lift Stock on the small slope by the kids area. Opposite the Gschwendhütte - and not far from the car park - the Leistkamm ski lift awaits beginners. Part of the area is also the Amden snow park, a guarantee for increased adrenaline. The slopes in Arvenbüel are mostly flat (blue) to slightly steeper (red) and ideally suited for families with children and beginners.
Fun in the snow - even off the piste
A groomed winter hiking trail leads from the bus stop past the Altschen ski club hut to the alp hut on the Vordere Höhi. Here, at 1500 metres above sea level, you can enjoy a warming Kaffi Fertig or delicious barbecued sausages. The wonderful winter landscape is always in view! For the more adventurous, we recommend a snowshoe hike in the area. An intense experience of nature, accompanied only by the crunch of snowshoes in the fresh snow.
Important to know:
The Mattstock and Arvenbüel ski areas are not connected, but are served by an hourly bus service. If you have a day or season ticket, you can travel for free on the public bus. The ski pass can also be purchased directly on the bus.
There are paid car parks in Arvenbüel, but these can get crowded on sunny days or during peak holiday times. It is therefore recommended to switch to public transport in Amden town.
