The Mattstock, Amden's local mountain, is situated at 1936 meters. While the hike to the summit attracts many hikers, there are also numerous opportunities to discover the vegetation at the foot of the Mattstock. A circular route of approx. 2 hours starts at the Walau / Niederschlag mountain station at 1290 meters.
