East of Weesen and at the foot of the Churfirsten mountains, you find the idyllic Betlis bathing beach. Surrounded by meadows and forests, and with panoramic views of the Glarus Alps, a dip in the cool water here is a special treat.

The beautiful path from Weesen to Betlis is a pleasure in itself, as it leads along the beautiful lakeshore. From Weesen, you reach the bathing beach in about an hour on foot. Or you get on the bike, as the road is ideal for cycling. The Betlis boat station is just two minutes away. If you arrive by car, you will find paid parking spaces at Betlis.
Quiet Bathing Spot in Idyllic Nature
The beautiful sunbathing lawn with shady trees offers plenty of space to relax on the lakeshore and admire the idyllic Alpine scenery. There is also a fireplace here - the perfect place for a barbecue! For easy access to the water, a stone staircase leads from the meadow into the water or you can make your way over the large stones.
Explore the Surroundings
You can combine your beach day in Betlis with an excursion into the surrounding area: Take a walk to the nearby Strahlegg castle ruins or take a detour to the gigantic Seerenbach Falls, where the Rin spring gushes out of the rock.

In the direction of Betlis: __:00 to __:05 and __:30 to __:35
In the direction of Weesen: __:15 to __:20 and __:45 to __:50
- Maximum vehicle size: 2 m wide x 2 m high
- On Sundays with good weather, parking spaces at Betlis can be scarce.
