Alpstübli Strichbode
The alpine restaurant Strichbode stands out with its traditional charm in the midst of the mountains around Amden. At 1320 m.a.s.l., you will get an authentic insight into life and customs at the alp. For children, the little zoo with rabbits will be an attraction.
Having arrived at the alpine restaurant Strichbode, only a few minutes walk from the mountain station of the chair lift Mattstock, you find yourself in the middle of the mountain world. You hear the cowbells ringing, and your view opens up to the immense mountain scenery.
The hosts Alois and Rösli Böni have been serving guests for over 40 years. Now, the second generation, Beatrice and Peter, are in charge of the family restaurant.
Culinary Delights high above Amden
The drinks and food offer ranges from barbecue specialties such as the organic Galloway hamburger (more on this below), grilled sausages or a traditional goulash soup to a large selection of cold cuts ("Vesper"). The typical meringue serves as a sweet treat or desert.
Idyllic Location for Celebrations
The alpine restaurant Strichbode is also happy to open its doors for celebrations: Weddings, birthdays or business dinners find their location here. The Organic Galloway Gourmet Beef Menu is also served upon reservation in advance.
Organic Galloway Gourmet Beef
Beatrice and Peter run an organic Galloway breeding on their farm "Niederschlag". The Scottish Highland cattle feel like home in the mountains around Amden. On the pastures around the high moor, the cattle spend the summer months in absolute peace, growing with love and time, and enjoying lush herb meadows. All this contributes to the high quality and special taste of the meat.
