Sauna & Steam Bath
Rainy days or simply the desire for relaxation and recreation lure people into the sauna or steam bath. The relaxation factor is high in the newly renovated Amden indoor swimming pool.
The classic sauna - the dry heat for your well-being
High temperatures and low humidity stand for the classic sauna experience, that we have known ever since. The classic of all wellness treatments makes the temperatures rise to between 80 and 95 degrees Celsius - which stimulates the immune system and blood circulation. An infusion of essential oils and water ensures that the dry air becomes more humid for a short time. This really makes you sweat. The metabolism is stimulated, and the skin cleanses its pores almost single-handedly.
Tip: The higher the bench, the higher the temperatures - especially for beginners, it can get too warm, especially shortly after an infusion. So you may be better off on the lowest bench!

Steam bath - The humidified version of the sauna
Being sat in dry, hot air is not everyone's cup of tea. If that is the case with you, you may want to try out our steam bath instead. Here you can relax at temperatures between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius, and unlike the sauna, the humidity is equally high throughout. The warm, humid mist acts like an inhalation cure - clearing the airways and moisturising the mucous membranes. The blood circulation also benefits from this wellness treatment, the oxygen in the blood is noticeably improved. The positive effect on the circulation and immune system is equally present in saunas and steam baths. So decide according to your taste and feel-good factor!
Cooling down after a hot wellness experience
After eight to a maximum of 15 minutes, you should interrupt your sauna session and cool down. The cooling indoor pool provides maximum refreshment after the heat bath in the sauna or the steam bath. Alternatively, a cool footbath can also be a refreshing experience. Experts recommend alternating between a sauna session and cooling down a total of three times. Afterwards, relax in the cosy warmth of the relaxation room - the deeply relaxing end to every wellness session. The alternation of warming up, cooling down and regenerating trains your circulation and benefits your health. The sauna and steam bath also provide a little break from the hectic pace of everyday life - treat yourself to such an experience and discover our wellness landscape in the newly designed rooms. Enjoy a hot sauna or a warm, humid steam bath, do a few laps in the indoor pool or let yourself be pampered by the warm water of the bubbling whirlpool.
