On Sunday, 9 August 2026, Weesen invites you to a special culinary event: the fourth edition of the Brunch-Tavolata. Under the motto "Weesen eats ...", the market square will be transformed into a place of culinary discoveries and socialising.
On Sunday morning, 9 August, the pink carpet will be rolled out in the historic town of Weesen by the monastery fountain - time for the Brunch Tavolata!
Enjoying, laughing and losing track of time together - that's the idea behind this uncomplicated open-air get-together. Everyone brings their favourite breakfast, packs a picnic basket including crockery and shares, swaps and brunches together at the long tavolata table.
Come along, bring your loved ones and experience an unforgettable summer morning in the centre of the town.
What is a tavolata?
A tavolata is an Italian-inspired communal meal where people gather around a large table to share various dishes together. It emphasises conviviality, sharing food and coming together. In a broader sense, a tavolata is a public event or party where people come together to eat, drink and celebrate at long tables.
It is not necessary to register for the event.
