Besonderheiten der Tour
Aussichtsreich
The summit hike to the Federispitz mountain requires a certain amount of ambition. But the effort is worth it: An overwhelming panorama awaits at 1865 m above sea level.
Start of the Summit Hike
You can start your hike either in Amden or Weesen. From Weesen, it takes an additional two hours to ascend and one hour more to descend. It is a little easier if you drive (or cycle) to Alp Matt, you find the parking lot a bit above at the end of the asphalt road.
Enjoy the Ease after Effort
From there, you continue along the gravel road to Alp Underfiderschen, where you turn right onto the mountain path to Alp Oberfiderschen. From Fiderschenboden, the trail becomes very steep until you reach the ridge just before the Federispitz. The remaining 200 meters to the summit are then somewhat exposed, but with the goal in sight you can pave your way. Once at the top, the view in all directions is stunning!
Way Back: View of Weesen and Lake Walensee
From the Federispitz, head south along the ridge to the Plättlispitz. From here, you have a wonderful bird's eye view of Weesen and Lake Walensee. Descend along the south-west ridge, which is also slightly exposed. At a rocky section, a chain helps to ensure safety.
At the "Stelli" signpost, the path then branches off sharply to the left and leads almost horizontally along the "Plättliser" to Alp Oberfiderschen, where you take the same route back to the parking lot.
