No matter if you like to be in the sun or the shade: at the Gäsi bathing beach you find both. The long sandy beach is also a real play paradise for children.
Between Forest, Lake and Mountains
The beautiful Gäsi bathing beach on Lake Walensee is located on the outskirts of Weesen. The long sandy beach virtually merges with the adjacent forest, offering plenty of shady spots from the afternoon onwards. While a raft on the lake invites you to play and sunbathe, the sandy beach is ideal for playing beach volleyball and building sandcastles.
Playground and Restaurant
Those who haven't had enough of swimming and playing in the sand can let off steam in the children's playground at the campsite. The Gäsi restaurant, idyllically situated on the edge of the forest, provides food and refreshment for a relaxing bathing day.
Easily Accessible by Bike or Car
The Gäsi bathing beach is easily reachable by bike from the village center of Weesen. Cross the bridge in the direction of the highway, along the gravel path on the Glarus side of the Linth, and after a 1-2 km walk you will reach the Gäsi restaurant with its large playground. There are plenty of paid parking spaces in front of the campsite for those arriving by car.
