From the Arvenbüel bus stop and the parking garage, the path leads along a paved road to Café Leistkamm. On the left-hand side you will see Amden's tennis court. In winter, it is converted into a ice rink for curling as a popular group event.
The path continues to wind its way past a few houses and chalets towards the viewpoint without any major differences in altitude. Five minutes from Chapf, there is a ladies' and a men's toilet along the route. The last section of the trail consists of a gravel path (approx. 100 m).
Spectacular: Chapf Viewpoint
At the viewpoint there is an overview board describing the surrounding mountains. In addition to the Glarus Alps with Tödi, you can also see the Mürtschenstock. With its size, the striking mountain is omnipresent in Amden. In the depths - around 800 meters below you - you admire the fjord-like Lake Walensee. And the Betlis peninsula with the Strahlegg castle ruins and the Linth plain are also in your sight.
