Discover Amden and Weesen on a culinary hike
A Culinary Journey through Amden and Weesen
Important Notice
Please note that FoodTrail only has offers in German. There are no translated quizzes available. Hence this is why a basic knowledge of German is required in order to participate.
FoodTrail signifies discovering new things, being rewarded with culinary delicacies by solving riddles along the way. Delicious fun awaits on the sun terrace of Amden in beautiful Weesen on the shores of Lake Walensee.
The culinary discovery tour kicks off at the tourist information centre in Amden*. After being set up with all the information you need, you head out on the trail. You will get to know more about the village of Amden and hike through marvellous landscapes between the mountains and the lake. Alpine pastures, friendly cows, but also tropical fruit and palm trees on the Rivera on Lake Walensee guarantee plenty of variety. During the trail, you get to experience a bus ride on the steep, winding road between Weesen and Amden and also enjoy a leisurely ride on the Mattstock chairlift. The FoodTrail finally ends in Weesen with a last culinary finale. The charming town invites to spend even more time as there is so much more to discover.
*on Sundays and public holiday, you will receive your starters kit at Hotel Restaurant Sonne.
This is how it works …
The task is simple - By solving riddles in groups of to 6 people you get clues to find the next culinary stop. At every stop you get rewarded with a little something to eat or drink, plus the next quiz. Will we succeed in finding the next stop? A great experience for the whole family, a group of friends or team mates.
Children under the age of 6 are of course also welcome to participate and receive a simplified kids' quiz. They will however not require an individual ticket. Additional local delicacies may be purchased at each stop.
Our tip: During the week, the stops may be less busy.
