Autumn is in full swing and beautiful Amden is preparing for a highlight of the season. For more than a quarter of a century, the Ammler autumn market has been an integral part of autumn life and enjoys a loyal following.
The village square in Amden is transformed into an autumnal paradise on the 2nd Saturday in October, between 9.30 am and around 4.30 pm. Dozens of market stalls await visitors with regional treasures, homemade delicacies and handmade crafts from the surrounding area.
Unique specialities such as alpine cheese, bee honey, fresh bread and Preserved foods are on offer as well as all kinds of beautiful and practical items. Second-hand toys are looking for new owners, handicrafts such as hand-knitted or sewn items and artisan products are mostly sold by the producers themselves. Of course, the smell of roasted chestnuts will once again waft through the market air, reminding market visitors that the culinary aspect is more than just a consideration here. Carousel rides are on offer for younger visitors.
